ichie Hawtin, nome completo Richard Michael Hawtin, noto anche come Plastikman (Banbury, 4 giugno 1970), è un musicista e disc jockey canadese.
Può essere inserito nella seconda ondata di musicisti Techno che ha investito il mercato nella prima metà degli anni novanta.
È spesso conosciuto come Plastikman, alias che ha smesso di vestire dalla metà del 2000 per poi riprenderlo nel 2010. Lo stile di questo musicista è noto per l'ampio uso di strumenti molto avanzati di miscelazione del suono che danno alle sue esecuzioni dal vivo sonorità sempre molto particolari. Nel maggio del 1990 insieme a John Acquaviva ha creato l'etichetta Plus 8 che tuttora gestisce, nel 1998 invece ha lanciato la Minus con cui presenta i suoi lavori personali.Dal 2012 ha dato il via al tour "ENTER".

Inizia la sua carriera a diciassette anni suonando in vari locali del nord Italia. Nel 1993 entra a far parte della casa discografica Discomagic, per poi cambiare con la Self Distribuzione e con la Email Records. Nel 1998 ha creato l'etichetta discografica Spy Records, mentre con Time records crea le produzioni The Lawyer e E.magic. Insieme a Tristano "Trix" De Bonis e Luca Mensi dà vita ai progetti Magic Box ed Erika ottenendo un enorme successo in Italia e all'estero producendo diversi singoli.
Dj Ross pubblica nel marzo 2002 il suo primo singolo, Dreamland, in collaborazione con Paolo "Paul Sander" Sandrini, che ebbe un grande successo, che sarà seguito nell'ottobre 2002 da Emotion mentre compie dei tour all'estero insieme ad altri Dj come S.M.S. e M@D. Altri singoli pubblicati in seguito saranno Smile (maggio 2003) e Floating in Love (marzo 2004).
