GLD INSTALLED IN CHINESE CORPORATE FUNCTION HALL

Allen & Heath's Chinese distributor, Sanecore Group, was appointed to install a new sound system in a 400m² multi-function hall of China Petrochemical Corporation, Sinopec. Sanecore selected a GLD mixing system, comprising a GLD-80 digital mixer, with accompanying AR2412 and AR84 remote I/O expander audio racks,

The multi-function hall is mainly used for company meetings, training, performance and video playing. The GLD system was complemented with a EAW JFL210 linear array speaker system, and sources include a Blu-ray player, 6 sets of wireless microphone, 8 instrument microphones and 8 gooseneck conference microphones. The AR2412 rack connects to an EAW UX8800 loudspeaker processor, which distributes the signal to the amplifier after processing.

"The GLD-80 is a great mixer to have installed," comments Yuan Yuan, site manager at Sinopec. "I can use Scenes to recall different functions, which is very convenient for quick switching between them, and means it only takes minutes to prepare for a meeting or a performance. I always plug a USB key in to the GLD-80 to play or record music, and I can even record while playing music, which is great."
